Prakash Raj Honored With National Award


Prakash Raj, who is famous for villain roles and who is capable of doing any role given to him in his own way has been honored with National Award for his excellent performance in ‘Kanchivaram’.


Prakash Raj on Wednesday received the award from our president Pratibha Patil. The director of ‘Kanchivaram’, Priyadarshan was also present for the function to receive his award for best direction. On the same stage Shankar Mahadevan was awarded the best male singer award and Shreya Ghosal received the best female singer award. Manna Dey a legendary singer was given Dadasaheb Phalke award for his contribution to music.


Prakash Raj on the occasion said, "I think my highest payment in my career, which I have received, is for ‘Kanchivaram’ and that is the National Award."
